Big achievement for BCCI
This is a big achievement for BCCI. After 28 months, the spectators are returning to the stadium. The last time the spectators reached the ground was in the 12th edition of IPL held in India in May 2019. After this, in the first phase held in UAE in 2020 and India in 2021, spectators were not allowed to enter the field. This decision was taken because of Corona. With this decision, the BCCI can also compensate for the loss in the first phase.
The remaining 31 matches will be played in three cities.
The remaining 31 matches of the IPL will be played in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in 27 days. The first leg of IPL 2021 was postponed on May 4 due to the corona epidemic. A total of 29 matches were played till May 2. Till the postponement of IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals lead with six wins in eight matches while Chennai Super Kings are at number two with five wins. At the same time, RCB, captained by Virat Kohli, are at the third position with five wins.
